Mr.Anil Malnad Receiving National Award For Best Editing From President Mr.Giani Zail Singh
Anil Malnad is one of the Best Film Editors of the Indian
Film Industry. A national Award Winner for Editing, he has edited more than 200
films till date and is still continuing his work. He has edited close to 200
films in 9 Indian Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali,
Konkani, Tulu and English). Except for few all his films were super hits and
one of the main highlights of these movies was Mr. Anil Malnad’s Editing. He is
known for smooth cuts and perfect flow.
A very humble person by nature, he credits his success to his Guru famous Editor and Director Mr.Akkineni Sanjivi- brother of Mr.L.V.Prasad. He is one of those persons who have successfully changed from conventional reel editing to digital Editing. He considers the ongoing digital transformations have opened more avenues for better editing. He strongly believes that it is the creativity, talent and passion which are more important.He considers technology as a better tool for better editing. He believes that he was able to deliver because to him work is worship .
He is one person who believes that film budget is not a criteria which decides the quality of that film. The much acclaimed Film “SHOW “in Telugu is a classic example. Mr.Anil Malnad’s editing was the major highlight of this film and he could cut and narrate the story in such a manner that it became a critically acclaimed super hit movie in Telugu, eventhough the film was made on shoestring budget and involved only two actors. He strongly believes that it is the narration which can make or break a fim.
